Ralph Pillar of the Community United States 1582 Posts	Posted 06/02/2008 12:40 am I, too, like the Barber series, and have been putting a little more concentration toward them here lately. I've got all but the 1892-O, 1892-S, and 1893-S Barber halves - still missing 7 of the Barber quarters to complete that set, and need 15 of the Barber dimes to complete that set. I think they are under-appreciated right now, but given all the new collectors coming on line with the start of the State Quarters and the Presidential dollars, it's posible that, given time, alot of those new collectors will take an interest in the Barber series since, for the most part, they are relatively easy to come by at an affordable price. These belong to a friend of mine, who got them from an uncle who passed away. He may want to sell them in the future, but I want him to get a fair price. I can't show the backs of them, because they are in an album in a safe deposit box now, but I imagine the reverse of them have approximately the same wear as the obverse. They are pretty nice though. They're usually referred to as ' Liberty nickels', or ' V nickels'. Key date is 1885, I think. Report this Post to the Staff
