Having missed out on a few others recently my patience finally paid off, I only had to go 25% above budget to get it

Kibyra, Phrygia. 217-218ad
Ae27, 6.45g.
Obverse - Laureate, draped/ cuirassed bust right
Reverse - Demeter standing left holding grain ears & sceptre

I particularly liked the bust of Macrinus on this coin as it looks more " lifelike " to my eye, rather than looking angry or old as often depicted.
There is one oddity about the coin that I cant figure out though, on the Obverse they have used dots to signify the end of each word which is something that has me puzzled as I cant find a reason or another

I'm not sure how common this practice was in Ancient Rome, but the use of dots, asterisks, and annulets as word spacers is quite common on medieval coins.
