Hello everyone, It my first thread and first time here.

I have been looking for these two coins for many days and compare to the counterfeit guide from the internet to check whether it is genuine or not. because it's no mint mark and I am very new to this.

could you please ensure my choice?, I decide to get one from these either 1942 or 1945

Thanks

Both coins are genuine.

Both the 1942 and 1945 are common dates and in the same grade would be priced the same.

The first coin is a higher grade but I can't tell if it has been cleaned at some point in time has started to "retone"

Seems a little pricey but I'm not sure how easy they are to get on your side of the pond. Similar ones in that condition would be about $7US here.

Both are genuine. The 1945 is your better buy.

I would highly recommend passing on both. Those dates are super common and in low grade. Save your money and keep looking for one in better condition.

mamaboyz: Buy what you like. My things is, you now know it is not fake. Do some more research and, if you feel these coins are to your liking, go for it. If you are more of a coin flipper than collector, then some of the other comments above apply.

Thank you for all comments ;)

I'm a newbie for coin

Could you recommend me some well-trusted online shops for coin ?

Honestly, for the UK ebay, It is truely a limited choice to choose for a nice US coin lol

I'v seen a great US condition coin usually from their original based like US ebay but the shipping cost from US to UK is quite expensive though.

May be It would be better to find a coin local shop here in my place lol

to the CCF!

Typically these common date half dollars are not faked and the price is somewhat tied to the spot price of silver plus a small premium.
This seller has 100% positive feedback for more than 31,000 so they know coins for sure.
Welcome to the hobby and enjoy!
Post questions here and some really knowledgeable collectors will help you

Yes, you can get both these dates in AU condition for $20 or less. Now if these coins were from early years in that condition they would be worth much more. If you are going to collect a set of these coins especially in the 30's and 40's try for the best condition you can get. The ones before 1930 tend to be harder to find in anything beyond fine condition, but if you do find them get the best ones you can afford. Yes, a 1921-D will cost you a lot of money in VF condition but it would be worth it. These coins are very popular among collectors in the USA. The most popular are probably the Morgan dollars and now you are talking some real money.

Without tracking they are going to charge me $2.00 or less. We can risk just sending one I need to dig out my WL's and find the best one for you. They go for about $7.00 to 7.50 based on silver content value plus a little with free shipping so it's not a big deal. I will send you an email and you can send me your address
Rest in Peace

In my experience, finding US coins in Britain is not easy.
