Why go to all the trouble to photoshop a pic that isn't yours? Do you understand the concept of copyright? If it is your listing why all the mystery and subterfuge? Do you believe we are your unaware ebay shopping service? 262687115483Why not just provide us with the link and ask for opinions?

@DBM I didn't crop the picture, it is the one from the PCGS website. I don't think you're my unaware ebay shopping service, I simply saw a coin and wanted opinions on the value since I can't find any recent sales of a comparable example. I'm sure those who want to try find the coin on ebay could with ease just as you did. part of the reason I did not provide the link admittedly is because i'd rather not post it and invite potential competition if I choose to bid on it but also because the seller's images are terrible.

i understand copyright, I didn't steal and manipulate images from someone..i used the images taken by PCGS, I didn't crop them for myself or something. see look. I literally copied the image address and pasted it here. should I have noted originally it was PCGS's picture? probably but I didn't think of that, it's late here after all.

Quote: i'd rather not post it and invite potential competition OK, you are honest about your motive, that's commendable. Trends has it at $450. You're right they don't sell often enough to establish a price I'm sure you saw the PL65 cameo and what it sold for.

Quote: OK, you are honest about your motive, that's commendable. thank you very much. i appreciate the trends price as well. if you look if you look in the field between the "AB" of "ELIZABETH" and bust there are a couple minor scratches..anyone care to comment how these may affect grade and value? they look like they'd be unnoticed in hand unless you're looking for them. i saw the PL-65 cameo, it says sold for best offer but when I click the listing it says sold for $850

There are sites that list the selling prices of all ebay items including best offers. On the upside there aren't too many '53 PLs around. On the downside it has no cameo, if demand for PL coins drops further the lower grade non-cameo coins will take the biggest hit in terms of percentage. Common date PL coins in 64 without cameo have already taken a hit and continue to decline in value.

PL coins are basically dead in the Canadian market.
1953 is a good date however.
But, it is only a PL64 and that's not the greatest thing.
