good evening since its getting a bit to cold to metal detect I have started searching pennies again and while looking at some tonight I found this. The coin is pretty stained so my eyes could be playing tricks on me but does this look like it has an extra thumb?

That's one crazy pic! It probably is a Doubled Die, there are several variations of the extra finger. Never too cold to metal detect.

Possible. But there is also an area on the binding that isn't showing on this image. It maybe there, but under the ick still?
