Can anyone ID this. Not sure if it's real or fake or what it is. Has rotated dies as the first 2 pics are exact vertical flip alignment. About the size of a half dollar. Thanks

"Foderunt foveam" = "they dug a pit", which matches the image in your second pic. I can't help any more though.

building off of what Spencer worte, the other side reads
In Eam Cicedrunt= In it they Fell
So - "They dug a pit in 1610, and they fell in it in 1611?
BTW I think that the date on the top is 1612.
so this looks like it was struck in 1612 to commemorate events that began in 1610 and went sour in 1611.
Fascinating.

Info from the site I linked to...some of this is choppy...using the translation function on the browser:

Math Penning
diameter 3.2 cm

Inscriptions and marks:. FODERVNT [cross]. [weapon of Utrecht] Foveam [cross]; text front [cross] 16. 12 [cross] TO [cross] EAM [cross] CECIDERVNT; Title downside: 1611; Inscriptions front: 1610

Anonymous Utrecht. Bronze

On the front two men dig a pit, a Spaniard looks on behind him with a crowd. Underneath the coat of arms of Utrecht. On the downside are two men in the pit, while the Spaniard walks away chuckling along with the crowd. The performance refers to the struggle for power in the city and the actions of the mayors Dirck Canter and Henry of Helsdingen in 1610 and their deposits in 1611. See Van Loon, part II, p. 82

Wow guys thanks. You're a killer Bob! So are we thinking this is original? Can it be a restrike? Think there's any demand or is it just something cool?

When I first saw it I was thinking about that Oak Island "Money Pit" lol
