Hi, could someone tell me if is this German condecoration authentic ? I think the medal has been cleaned and restored, with few traces of the black original paint on the iron center. The ribbon is a modern bad quality replacement.

-It is made of three parts: a magnetic Iron center and two white metal (german silver?) frames welded.
-It weighs 17.3 gs. and measures 41x41mm
-It has not any manufacturer mark

This isn't an area I know I about however maybe someone else here may be able answer the question of whether it is an original or a reproduction.

I do not know about the medal itself but I have $2 that says that ribbon is not 100 years old.

Ribbon is 100% not original as you noted but is the correct Prussian "combatant" style (black with two thin white stripes.) Attachment looks correct, loop style is correct, finish and trim look correct for an EK II, I agree that enamel has been reworked - should be more matte black. Lack of a makers' mark is an issue, either (usually) on the ribbon loop/hanger or on the back frame (the 1813 side) and if not present it will lower value by a bit for German militaria collectors.
