Opened my unpaid item case. After 5 days. I think ebay is trying to tell me I have to wait until December to re-list? Is that really true?

Don't relist until the case is closed.
That protects you from the original buyer deciding to pay AND the winner of your relist paying also.

You've asked for payment by opening the case.

Usually a week or two.
Don't be too hasty relisting because as Kanga stated the Buyer may pay after all.

Per ebay......Buyer has 4 days to pay after a case is opened. Case will automatically close after 4 days if no payment, then you are free to relist.

After 4 days as Ed said you can close the case and then relist. The buyer has 4 days exactly from the time the case is opened. close the case and relist. Buyer can not leave feedback and receives a strike against their account.

If you have your ebay unpaid item assistant set to automatic it should be a done deal after 4 days, if you have it set to manual, then you have to go to the case in the resolution center and manually close it.
let us know how you make out.

don't know the time amount for sure, but once you have filed for non-payment, you will get a notice that the case can be close..in canada I am sure it is closer to 7 days, after non payment form is issued..
