XF-45 but I wouldn't be suprised if this slid in at a AU-50

It has full EF sharpness, but it got some verdigris (the greenish crud inside some of the letters, especially on the reverse) on it that might or might not be important. Please let an expert work on that. Don't try to work on it yourself unless you have experience.

Thanks for all the replies! I'm starting to get a good sense of where the grades for the large cent series stand. I'll post two more pics from the group and that should be enough to allow me to proceed on this group. I know Canadian large cents well but I've seldom possessed the US ones.

agree with XF45 and the veridgris probably should be removed. I think a verdicare dip would help and its something you can try yourself. at worst it will help preserve it

EF-40 or better. Assume the odd color is due to the lighting.
