Yes it is upside down it was used on the tunnel bus line very common, I think they sold the whole batch when they stopped using them. Way to expensive they go for $2.00 at most around here and generally in the bargain half off bins. In the Detroit metro area

Looks like a token for the Eisenhower-Johnson tunnel.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

Yes the words say so but the rest of the token says otherwise.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

They have stock token designs, that only the wording are changed that design has been used for for all the tokens used since it opened in Nov 3 1930 they were used on the tunnel buses
This is from Atwood-Coffe catalogue pf US/Canadian transport tokens Some were zinc plated steel and another was brass in 1954 they were 16mm dia. The center letter was a T value is about .50 They had a couple of others for annervisaries that were 29mm in dia

there is no pic's on line either at the wiki sight or at the Vecturist home pages http://www.vecturist.com/ what transport tokens collectors are called
