Is this MMS-006?
Variety Vista lists 006 as scarce, but it is not clear whether that refers to all 006 or only to 006 Inverted. Which is it?

Here is the link: http://www.varietyvista.com/01a%20L...20Styles.htm

MMS-006 - Yes, a nice example of that style

Scarce? My browser won't open the link you provided for some reason, but I think what most guides say about that, and what I have found from looking at many, many 1946-S cents, is that MMS-006 is the least common of the three styles from that year. I never kept a tally, but maybe 1 or 2 out of 10 are that style. Probably would not use the word "Scarce" but maybe "uncommon."

The inverted mint mark is quite rare, listed at URS-006, but likely part of that is how few people are looking for it and how hard it is to be sure of the ID on it. It is one variety I recommend looking for because I believe most of them are still out there and not collected out.

So sorry - I can open it fine. If you really want to see it, copy and paste.

Thanks for your information. I have found far less than 1 in 10 of these - and no inverted. If I ever do find an inverted, I won't keep it a secret - that's for sure!!

They are out there. And the S looks just like yours, only upside down.
