1946-S Lincoln Wheat Cent / LWC MMS-006 2 Questions?

Variety Vista lists 006 as scarce, but it is not clear whether that refers to all 006 or only to 006 Inverted. Which is it? My browser won't open the link you provided for some reason, but I think what most guides say about that, and what I have found from looking at many, many 1946-S cents, is that MMS-006 is the least common of the three styles from that year. I never kept a tally, but maybe 1 or 2 out of 10 are that style. Probably would not use the word "Scarce" but maybe "uncommon." The inverted mint mark is quite rare, listed at URS-006, but likely part of that is how few people are looking for it and how hard it is to be sure of the ID on it. It is one variety I recommend looking for because I believe most of them are still out there and not collected out. Report this Post to the Staff
