I got these two coins together, so kinda assuming they are from roughly the same place/era. But I have Googled and Numista'd without any idea what they are. Any help appreciated as they seem to be in pretty good shape.

First coin diameter 21mm
Second coin diameter just 15mm

They are not actual coins, but jewellery imitations of old Ottoman gold coins. The "writing" on them is just a crude, garbled imitation of Arabic writing which an Arabic-speaker would have just as much trouble trying to actually read as you would. They would have originally been shiny brass or gilt-painted, making them look much more convincingly like gold.

They are usually mad with holes already drilled in them, for wearing attached to clothing in the traditional middle-eastern fashion. They are often called "belly-dancer coins" for this reason.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis

Oh man! Thank you. While I have known that there are belly dancer coins out there, I always thought I would be able to "know it when I saw it." Apparently not the case, as with so many things. I think I'll keep these in my collection of coin-like things as kinda interesting.
