I apologize for not being able to provide a link, but look at this auction on ebay; 8355308263. Take note that of the eight coins one is a bust dollar. Coincidence that the camera flash is right on the most valuable coin. Also went for a hefty sum. I was hooked too until the seller id just seemed a little familiar. Then it dawned on me that I'd seen this id on coincommunity! Thanks guys/gals. There's more! The guy has several listings similar. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...m=8355308263Edited by Mike 11/20/2005 10:13 pm

First, here's the complete URL: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...m=8355308263This seller, estatedoctor is one of our favorite subjects here. Here's one recent thread with him as the center of attention: https://goccf.com/t/2618&SearchTerms=estatedoctorWe believe estatedoctor is working in concert with the notorius pamiam003 (aka pjd 1966 and others) if he is not, in fact, pamiam003. While he might have started out earlier this year as a casual seller from Savannah, GA, he quickly became an Honors Student at the pjd 1966 Advanced School of Fraud, also located in Savannah, GA. His auctions all have essentially the same "selling estate" descriptions, his images are poor, he has a LOT lot of negative and neutral feedback to which he replies offensively (in the exact manner as pjd 1966/pamiam003) or arranges mutual withdrawal to keep his feedback rating up, yadda, yadda. In short, he (and pamiam003, presuming they are not the same person) is a con artist who is keeping one step ahead of the law. Many or even most of his/her coins are questionable at best, counterfeit, or grossly overrated and overgraded. pamiam003 is known to have imported a number of Chinese fakes over the past year and appears to be peddling them through estatedoctor; most likely, the BHD is a fake. Collectively, a number of members of this group and others managed to get pjd 1966 kicked off ebay, but unfortunately, ebay keeps letting her back in under different IDs or suspends her only temporarily. Even more unfortunately, there are still millions of ebay buyers who are naive, gullible, and not knowledgeable about coins nor of the dangers of ebay. These are the targets for such as estatedoctor and pamiam003.

I believe if memory serves me right , his full time job is as a professor at a local college in Georgia.
I would not want any of my friends or relatives to take a course this fella was responsible for-
Wait I would enroll in his fraud 101 course - because he has great experience and would be an expert in this field

I think the ID started as the professor's, but the situation is looking more and more suspicious as time passes. Pamiam003 does not list coins at all anymore. I think this is because all coins are being sold under estatedoctor. For what it's worth, it seems that he honors his returns, but more and more of his coins are looking very suspicious.
No one in their right mind would have grouped those coins together unless they were actually worthless. This could include counterfeit, damage, extremely harsh cleaning, whatever. His pics are not good enough to be able to tell, and he doesn't take pics of both sides. In my opinion, this is a seller to avoid under all circumstances.

What bothers me most of all is the hundreds or thousands of persons who don't take any precautions whatsoever when bidding on his coins. Are there really so many greedy gullible people out there who think they're really gonna get a rare coin for peanuts? The evidence from the numbers of bids he gets and, despite the negative feedback, the numbers of glowing positive feedbacks from people who have no idea that they've been scammed is that the pool of such victims is HUGE!

That's the attitude that allows sellers like this one to prosper. Too many people want something for nothing and are too lazy to do their research and learn about what they are buying. The resources are there, but these people don't want to use them until they find out they made a mistake. Education is so much more helpful when used as a prevention. Learn first....buy later. This is a very simple premise that, if used in all situations, will save everyone a lot of grief and heartache.

Richard, Unfortunately I know too much about this scam artist. He's an administrator at Savannah State University. He was the acting athletic director (unsure if he still holds this position) and is the assistant VP in the office of student affairs. His "doctorate" is an Ed.D. from an online "university". I haven't seen where he has held a title of Professor. "Dr. Clark has served the University over 11 years as Assistant Football Coach/Residence Director, Housing Manager, Director of Residential Services & Programs, Interim VP for Student Affairs, and Interim Athletics Director." When he first began selling on ebay, I was incredulous that someone with a responsible position would endanger their professional reputation by associating with the "savannah scammer". I now know that he just doesn't care as he makes tens of thousnads of dollars off these highly questionable sales and practices. Don
