Poll Question
You go to a bank and ask the teller for rolls of $ 0.01 .
What do you say to the teller ?; ''Can I purchase rolls of''--

Poll Choices
Cents , calling them this to the teller makes you feel awarkward and dumb .
Pennies , calling them this is against coin collectors vocabulary .
Lincoln's , calling them this can also make you fell awarkward , and the teller will say to you wut

I didn't vote since I don't do this, but from the bank teller side of it, pennies is far and away the most commonly used word. No one's ever asked me for Cents or Lincolns before.

I say the word that appears on every paper wrapper I have ever seen for the denomination:

Poll-,-What-Do-You-Say-To-Bank-Teller-?

If someone has a picture of a wrapper that says "cents" I would love to see it.

What I don't do is ask for common cents.

I ask for pennies even though I prefer refering to them as cents. Sometimes they look at me like I have a third eye when I ask for rolls of cents.

"Pennies," since that's what is printed on the rolls and the boxes containing them. Until the banks start rolling them in containers/boxes with "cents" on them, I'll keep using their word for them.

Back when I CRH I would ask for cents. If I got "a look" for the teller, I would then say pennies.

If I started to CRH again I would do the same.

I was disappointed that one of the Poll Choices was not "Stick 'em up!"

I use the 5 magic words:

"I want rare cents please"

Then tellers stop working and search through all the pennies to give me the valuable ones.
