this coin when checked under a microscope is tripled. I have found a few more coins like this one. I was hoping that. I would be able to get the tripling in one shot. I realize that there is only one way to do this. focus stacking that will show it

It's all about lighting and getting the shadows and highlights to show the coin's characteristics.

yes ray you are very correct. it all comes down to lighting. ray I have finally got all the pieces. that was described in that lighting study. that was done in Europe. I will start putting it together very soon. I think this system should help me a lot. its designed to work with the camera lens plus microscopes objectives.

will do hamm. I have most of it together. I have to wire a voltage meter in the electrical path. see in European study. the 12 volt power supply had a built in meter. that power supply cost over 400.00 american. once I read all the specs. I knew I could built similar for a faction of the cost. see where the meter comes into play. so that you record the reduced voltage for the specific metal. each metal requires a different voltage to light evenly. ok here a fast photo no editing. this is light from this system. I am not sure of the voltage. I will get a meter tomorrow.
