Agreed. AU, possibly with some cleaning; can't tell if the striations are raised (die polishing) or incuse (abrasive scrubbing).

Very attractive coin!

Thank you, Finn235. About cleaning, I've read differing opinions about what to use, e.g., acetone, soap/water, olive oil, etc. Any suggestions relevant to this particular coin would be greatly appreciated.

DON'T CLEAN COINS.

when he says
