Hey guys. This is a BIE I bought for real cheap the other day. Does the BIE hurt the grade of a coin? What grade would you give this coin? Do people pay a premium for these?

Looks like a LDB4-012 and a high grade coin. I've just been trying to learn about these recently so I am not a good one to judge the value, however, collectors of "BIE's" would pay a premium. Nice coin!
Rest in Peace

63 RED, BIE will ad a bit to value, but I can't see it's value being much more than $3 even so.

No premium for these, but it is nice to know what it is when you see it.

Can you get a closer shot of the mint mark? It looks a bit odd

That mark in the mint mark is from damage to the mint mark punch. There will be several dies that have that mark until they retire the punch. (in all denominations)

Nice coin! The BIE doesn't hurt the grade because it's not damage, the coin was made that way. It's uncirculated, probably a mid MS. People do pay a premium for them. There are avid collectors of Bies.
The reverse is nice too, depending on which expert you talk to there are three different names for the phenomenon. Most collectors are familiar with the term "Ghosting". It is also by far the shortest of the three.
While there are websites and books dedicated to BIES, there's not much of a following on the Ghosters. I have, however sold two or three on ebay, here's the nicest.
