Hi, I'm looking to see if there is a good list of every error and variety in existence for every Canadian coin, and I'm not looking through the whole Coinsandcanada error list http://www.coinsandcanada.com/coins...arieties.php
I am looking for a more simple list that discludes old coins which I may already keep for numismatic values.

Thanks.

Sorry but you have to do the research---thats the only way because you learn as you go and if you go to each single listing there should be a list of varieties, EG:-

nothing comes easy

Good for older coins, but I prefer newer.

Looks like I'll be making a list for every coin 1974-date

Some die varieties are described in the back section of the Charlton catalogues since 2006 (60th Edition), but the majority of those are centred on Victorian coins. Errors, however, are independent of Canadian coinage - what we see for errors can be results of flawed planchets, striking errors or wrong metals. For the latter, I recommend this site:

1965 Zoell catalogue of Major Varieties is for sale on ebay... less than one day left, as I post this.

1970 Minor Varieties edition:

Also, a first edition (1961) catalogue is on ebay.

Not often you see three on ebay in the same week...

Such a list that, even if it DID exist and it doesn't, would be too bulky to carry around, especially if it had photos.

This is not my website below. I found this when I google search for "Hans Zoell", but do check this web site out regarding the author. It seems to be a tribute to Hans Zoell.
