Hey everyone.
As some of you may or not know I am really into local exonumia or medals that may be of local interest.
With that being said I believe in 1977 the Franklin mint made a "Landmarks of Canada" medal set. I can not find the list of medals or a picture online anywhere.
I would really like to get a list of the medals in the set, mintages, pictures or even a set if someone has one.
Thank you guys as always. Maybe there is Franklin book?

Sounds like a nice set. Wish I could have located some pictures. Quote: The 50 medals in this collection commemorative the best-known and most revered of Canada's great landmarks. Most of the landmarks have never before been depicted in medallic form. Each medal is a 45mm sterling silver proof. Issued from 1974-1977. This ebay seller has a single one. Perhaps you can send them a question to see if they have ever come across a set or has any pictures of any others? http://www.ebay.ca/itm/291864168098?rmvSB=true

I may just do that, thank you Debra.
I believe that one of the medals has Hartland's longest covered bridge. That is the one that has got my motor running, however if they came in a set that is how I would want it.

The 1979 Chester Krause Guide to Franklin issues gives the mintage as 2,690 (I'm assuming that is sets of 50) I'll scan the list of 50 medals later. (It's pretty much post-bedtime here)

Sorry about the elevation, but if I flip it to vertical the compression makes it harder to read.

So you must have been able to buy them as singles as well as a set. Thank you so much alganbagerap. I will save this picture to my computer. #38, Hartland's covered bridge.

After a little digging I located pictures of a complete set including the packaging http://bid.taysauctions.com/cgi-bin...4/68/showallScrolled through all the pictures on the above link--Is this the medal you're looking for-the only one not cut off in the picture?

I have the complete set which includes a book describing each landmark. Let me know if you'd still like pictures.

@ Harmonica: I'll be picking up up a whole set of 50 "Landmarks of Canada" sterling coins in a couple of weeks, if you're still interested. I'd sell it for $1,500 Cdn., which is about $800 under market price.
