Perhaps the same applies here because the 2017 designs in the videos, well they're okay in fact I'm kind of beginning to not mind them. But the SD and the way in which the maple leaf has been engraved so that it reflects out from the engraving of the image of the sea-to- sea country of Canada I think is truly impressive! A very creatively designed coin to add to my SD collection, looking forward to receiving the set in the coming year. Report this Post to the Staff

I believe, variety of these sets (from most expensive "Big coins" to the simple "uncultivated set" will satisfy all). congrats for the SD collectors - they will be getting nicely done coin. Regarding the interesting/attractive luster pattern seen on the SD, I've seen similar patterns before. I own several modern commemorative silver dollars of the US that have similar lustre patterns over their satiny surfaces. The lustre seen on the Canadian SD might be the result of the RCM using multiple finishes on the coin. Collecting history one coin or medal at a time! (c) commems. All rights reserved.
