While going through my late mother's things, I came across a coin. As far as I can tell, it is an 1894 Queen Victoria Old Head Gold Sovereign from the London mint.

Has anyone got any idea what I should ask for this. I haven't managed to find one of that exact year, and others close to it seem to vary widely.

Post a pic or three so we can check out your new sovereign. You may want to use a magnifying glass to see if there is indeed a mint mark, sometimes they are very hard to see.
