Tracking Numbers Valid? - Coin Community Forum

John1 Moderator United States 56855 Posts	Posted 12/07/2016 12:53 pm I ordered an item from the bay and the seller has a tracking number but when I check it it reads that nothing is going on. I know the seller sent it because he said it went out Monday. I have had this happen before,even after I received the item the tracking number reads that nothing has been shipped? nfine Pillar of the Community United States 3477 Posts	Posted 12/07/2016 1:40 pm A notification is sent when the seller prints the shipping label indicating the package has shipped. It make take a day or so for the seller to actually send the package out. Tracking will be available once the package is in the hands of the shipper and it's scanned into the system. fsrdavis59 Valued Member United States 96 Posts	Posted 12/07/2016 2:36 pm I don't print my own shipping labels when I sell something on ebay. If I input the wrong numbers for my buyer's it shows up as you stated above. You may want to contact the seller and inquire if he/she could double check the number for you. I was just wondering how odd it was that the last two or three times I bought something on the bay that this happened. I would check the tracking number every other day and it would show no action,then I would receive the item and check the tracking number and still shows no action. If the seller is paying extra for tracking they are getting taken advantage of. John1 Report this Post to the Staff
MontCollector Pillar of the Community United States 2403 Posts	Posted 12/07/2016 10:44 pm I have had this happen twice. Once on a Christmas gift I sent and once on an ebay item I purchased. Both items were received fine, and the info showed up on the tracking a couple days after delivery. I chalked it up to scanning errors, but could be wrong. Never investigated since packages were delivered in timely manner. Report this Post to the Staff
