Hi all.
I came across this forum while doing research on my collection and was impressed by the knowledge and experience of the members here.
I started collecting coins with my Father back in the 50's and was pretty active up until 1982 or so. Since then I've done most of my collecting from pocket change. I have a modest but diverse collection centering on US classic and modern coins. (To the early 80's anyway.) I am interested in all coins and currency but have an affinity for anything odd, unusual or otherwise intriguing regardless of actual value.
Looking forward to learning and participating here.

Hey Pennywise142, I think you got me beat by a few years in collecting - I started in 1967 and ordered a roll of 1968s nickels in 1968 - I still have that roll of nickels -

Thanks to all for the welcome note!
T-BOP: I'm chucking because that is the first time I've been called an "Old Timer." Growing old is inevitable but growing up is optional. I like to think I haven't exercised my option yet!
DownSouth: You sound like a true collector hanging on to those nickles. I had a head start over most people collecting. My Father was given a year set representing my birth year from a friend and avid collector when I born. His interest in collecting grew from that and I got caught up in his tailwind at a very early age.
See you all in the Forum Threads!

Pennywise! Quote: "...affinity for anything odd, unusual or otherwise intriguing regardless of actual value." That's exactly where I'm at. It's just a bonus if there IS something of value.
