Found this in with my muzzle loading stuff I think it was going to be used to make a front site out of. Anyway it is in one of those 2x2 holders with the plastic in it. Not something I collect is worth anything more than melt? If so I will probably trade it away

Numismatic value is over melt. This might sell on ebay for around $10 I suppose.

Absolutely it's worth more than melt. I'd estimate it's worth between $5 and $10.

I don't know the specific variety of yours with the pictures provided however you might be able to.

Definitely worth more than melt. Might do well on a venue like ebay.

Thanks. ebay seems like a hassle maybe I will put it up for trade here for a couple of melt value Barber quarters or whatever's offered

The condition isn't great but it is an early seated and there are plenty of newer collectors who would love this in a type set.

Might make a super Xmas gift for someone young who might have an interest in coins or a coin so old.
