Dime that has an unreadable date. Weighs .89 to .91 it's as thin as regular printer paper. Possibly done with some sort of acid. Definitely not cut or sanded.

That's what I think just curious how they did it. Since the texture is still there as well as you can still feel the abrasion. Just confused how its not flat images

Maybe it's cut in half? Cutting all copper color out and only leaving the silver 25% ?

The acid etched the surface uniformly, so the higher areas still remain higher than the lower areas.

After a better magnifier and a better lit room. You can actually see the date. It's a 1955 but 10% chance it could 1956 but 100% a 1950s

It would have had to of been Nitric acid to dissolve Silver.

Okay I see, yea definitely acid corrosion. It's so thin you can see all the letters on coming through on the obverse and vise versa
