Hello all,

I have here a silver early medieval coin in my collection. It appears to be a sceat or a merovingian denar.

The style with the head and the cross on the reverse suggest a type sceat of essex? but the style with the lyrics alround the cross would say more frankisch merovingien to me.

Anyone happens to know this one?

The cross with the 4 dots could suggest a sceat from domburg. But still these sceat coins having another appearance. This looks more like a denier then a sceat to me...Perhaps pale gold?
