Alyssamarie4343 New Member United States 1 Posts	Posted 12/12/2016 03:41 am Now I realize the penny isn't in great condition But I found it interesting how there is a hole in licolins head, kind of like an exit wound, from being shot. I know it's not the typical error but, would anyone find this as interesting as me? Could it be worth anything ? twslisa Pillar of the Community United States 790 Posts	Posted 12/12/2016 08:20 am Actually, since it's a pre-1982 (and therefore copper) penny, it's technically worth a bit more than a penny. Unfortunately, it's illegal to melt them. I still hoard copper pennies if I find them in change, and some others here do as well. Maybe one day they'll change the law and we'll make a few bucks. I'm a bit too squeamish to appreciate the exit wound idea, but I guess the placement of this damage is an interesting coincidence. Report this Post to the Staff

I'm not talking about any other part of the penny, I obviously know the back is damaged . As well as the front. Wondering if these "holes" could have any way been apart of production, because I've see other pennies on the Internet with similar indents Report this Post to the Staff
