1969 D Nickel Obverse ?'s

I came across this nickel a while ago,but just found another 69' to compare it too. The facial areas are recessed further than my other nickel,by what appears to be twice the depth. The hair line is also raised more than the other.The circular scratches are PSD and not really asking about those. Thanks for looking! Any and all advice is greatly appreciated! Have a good one!

Looks like coin wrapper damage. If it were on both sides, I would think coin counting machine or vending machine. But just one side affected so coin wrapper damage. The lowered areas in the center are probably just the design.
