I Found This Odd Roosevelt Dime

I found this 2002-p dime while metal detecting. it's a bit unusual because in the picture on the front Roosevelt's cheek has a raised bump on it. (like he's got a mouth full of chewing tobacco.) I thought it must be dented on the back side but the back side is fine. the bump on the frot is actually part of the dime...like excess metal because his ear extends on to it. anyone ever found coins like this with defects? I never have.

The heat makes the layer spread unevenly, making a bubble. The color is also from being burned. How do we know this, we've seen this before several times. Welcome to the forum. The more you ready here, the more you learn.
