I think you did every thing correctly - especially learning on inexpensive coins. Now when you are tempted to add a more expensive "green coin" to your collection, you'll have some idea what is possible in restoration.
Thanks for sharing.
One of mine.

Thanks for the support! I recently did a few 1932 Hong Kong 5 cents and maybe will post.

Right now, my main focus coin is a 1945 India Half Rupee that is currently in acetone and may get Verdi-Care if needed.

I treated another Mexico 50c that has slight verdigris and it did a bang up job with almost no hint.

All I can say is...perpetual experimentation and eventually I'll find the balance.

In a close up, the lamination problem at the rear of the crown is visible.
Maybe not worth any more, but a little less ugly.

Definitely a lot better looking Chute72 and sometimes you may be able to uncover details like a small lamination or Die cracks/chips that were invisible before.

Instead of starting a new topic, I thought this would be the place to also show what acetone and Verdi-Care cannot do.

I don't have untreated pics because I didn't think I'd be posting them so the before pics are actually after acetone (which hardly did anything except make a few light spots on the 50 öre that makes it look cleaned and not well ).

Slight improvement:

Minimal improvement if any from here on out:

That's an excellent transformation Wade!

Did you use any kind of mechanical cleaning (toothpick?) or is that just the solution?
