PCGS - PCGS CoinFacts president Ron Guth explains how many 1794 Dollars exist today. Before watching, what's your guess? The $10,000,000 1794 Specimen Dollar will be on display at the FUN show in January, 2017 at the PCGS booth.

I would have said 130 to 140. Unfortunately many of them have post mint caused problems, which met that there was a time when you couldn't get them into NGC and PCGS holders. Fortunately "details" grading came along, and they can be certified as genuine.

Here a photo of last one that has been offered, with a straight grade, that I could have afforded. Photos courtesy of Harry Laibstain. Today a straight graded one is out of my reach.

I would have said around 100. Interesting. David Lawrence has had a nice one in inventory for most of the year, now at $915K

APMEX is selling one for $171k. For an extra $13.99, they will throw in a "nice display box".
