This is my second recent find in my pocket change. Was having a hard time photographing. The mint mark and IN GOD WE TRUST are very visible. As are the faint doubling in America. Definitely don't see the doubling in the LL's in Dollar, but with a loup can see the markings in the R in Dollar. What is your opinion?

Has anyone else found this error?

Have also another quarter different date, but need to rephotograph.

Thanks

The obverse die was used longer than it should have been used, resulting in Die Deterioration Doubling.

to the forum!

You will see this on different denomination coins across the years.

Hang on to this one for future reference, so when you do find a doubled die, you can use it to compare and see the differences.

Keep looking!

DDD all the way. The bane of modern coinage. I thought the same thing originally and then kept finding more and more. I had not found this forum yet and it took some searching to find what it actually was. The 2015-P Dime is really bad about this.

BTW to CCF

Another thing youll notice is that Die Deterioration Doubling occurs on the side of the devices facing the rim
