I am thinking that this is a straightforward broadstrike. But somewhere along the line I read that a broadstrike will have no rim, and this does seem to have a rim. Comments welcome.

Forgot to note that the weight is correct at 2.6g but diameter is 20.9mm.

When blanks are ran through the upsetting process, it raises the edge of each blank.

I'd be extra careful and put this in an air tight capsule so the zinc that is exposed doesn't start to oxidize.

A foreign coin auction I was buying at had a stray lot of US error coins. Wrong set of buyers for that so I got a very, very good price on it.

Yea the upsetting forms a proto rim-the rim finishes forming with the collar during the strike. Super nice centered broadstike I agree with mox
