Great poll.
I usually log on and off a few times at work and check the topics. I estimated less than an hour but my companies IT department keeps a log off every website you go too. I guess I may find out one day exactly how much time I am on CCF during the day.
The good news is that the company I work for is pretty laid back and since I don't take "smoke" breaks I believe I would be able to justify my time on CCF if any questions arose.

I'm a circulation manager for a large local newspaper, and I oversee about 25 home delivery paper carriers. So my day starts early (2AM) and I am in a warehouse. If the morning is going smoothly and everybody is prepping their papers for delivery in the warehouse, I will frequently sit in the office for as much as an hour a morning catching up on all of the new posts on CCF. I just have to stop if someone comes in with a question.

I'm self employed too in the commercial metal building biz with my dad....most days I sit in front of the computer designing buildings....or talking with customers, or architects, or electricians, or concrete guys, or heading out to a jobsite, or payroll taxes, or doing the quarterly.....etc.etc.etc BUT....when we're not real busy.....which seems to be A LOT recently...I tend to come here and browse and "hang out" pretty often !.....But I sort of feel guilty, like I "should" be doing "other" things related to running this business !.....dang self imposed guilt trip!.......

I have been trying to decide the answer to this question I put 15 min or less because I am not sure if as a Moderator Coin Community is my work or if what I do from home is my work. I enjoy my job - so it is not work coin community is not work it is fun & family So I can not give an honest answer Now if the question was how many hours a day does the Forum take you away from your family Then the number would go up - but that in itself is a half truth because I work on my computer with my office door open so I can still see what is going on in the house and talk to the members of my family

I usually wake early at about 4 AM my time and get to spend a few hours online here. If I am lucky I might get to check the boards at the end of my day. When you are retired it isn't hard to find something to fill your day and keep you mind working; you have to be determined to do it though...

I'm on the PC all day long, so when I get home, I find that I don't spend much time on a computer. I'll check in the morning and again in the afternoon, generally, when the system is slow, or the connection to the head office gets interrupted. All told, it's almost certainly less than 30 minutes, and probably even less than 15 minutes most days. The boss doesn't know, and I don't think he'll mind, but it's probably best not to tell him in the first place. As long as my work is getting done, he doesn't have any problems, so if I need to stay late, I do. If I can go home on time, I do that, too.

Presently retired due to medical conditions I have lots of time to spend on this forum. However, also due to old age I just get bored after a short period of time so I voted for about one hour. One of my previous jobs was in a large organization where probably half used the computer and the internet. This would be about 2,000 or more individuals and I would suspect most wasted at least half the day with anything on the internet except their jobs. In another large organization I dealed with I think the amount of people on the internet was even higher than that. At that place they also spent time (during work parties) on employee's birthdays, first day of Spring, each employee that was retiring, new employee starting, plant startups, organizations anniversary, etc. So I don't think a few hours on the internet there made a difference.
