Thanks for the list/pictures.

Had to google ''King Canute.'' Never had heard of him before.

I like the WWI £2 coin. The 50P is also quite good.

Was he the guy who had to paddle his own canute?

(apologies to Seller & Yeatman:
"1066 and all That" - a spoof on English history.)

What is interesting is Royal Mint is selling sets with the two £5 coins in it but according to the https://www.thegazette.co.uk/notice/2672807 site, there is another £5 coin to come.

The design of the said coins shall be as follows:

'For the obverse impression Our effigy with the inscription "· ELIZABETH II · D · G · REG · FID · DEF · 5 POUNDS", and for the reverse a depiction of the Imperial State Crown accompanied by the inscription "MY WHOLE LIFE, WHETHER IT BE LONG OR SHORT, DEVOTED TO YOUR SERVICE" and surrounded by the inscription "SAPPHIRE JUBILEE" along with the dates "1952 - 2017". The said coin shall have a grained edge, except for the gold and silver coin which shall have a plain edge and in incuse letters the inscription "SHINE THROUGH THE AGES".'

A second set likely means more profit for the mint.

I agree with redlock; I like the WWI 2 pound coin. It will probably be a while before I find any of them but I like the designs!
