I come accross this and thought it was a cool novelty coin. Does anyone know anything about the 1872 Indian and where it might od come from? It is the size of a Bust Half Dollar. I've seen those really big novelty coins this one is a lot smaller. Thanks in advance for your help.

Maybe post a reverse picture of the bust half too. Looks like a novelty.

Is it made of copper or bronze or brass perhaps, or does it feel lighter weight?

Would make an awesome neat binder insert for an Indian set. Not terribly pretty or accurate, but I'm sure no one ever tried to pass it as a cent!

It is curious enough with the size and silly date font. But what amazes me is the rather convincing sense of wear on both sides despite evident mounting at one point.
