The 1800 Half Cent has long been a favorite of mine because the reverse die was made for use in the 1790s. It was not used at the time, but cropped up for use on all of the 1800 Half Cents and a very small number of the 1802 Half Cents. It is listed as "the old reverse" the catalogs like "The Red Book."
