I just received my coin back from PCGS and I noticed that instead of the label showing a 2008-W Bald Eagle, it showed a 2008-W Eagle and the coin number was wrong too. Does this devalue the coin or does it add some type of premium?
No, it shouldn't devalue what's inside the slab. I personally find these "error" slabs are interesting and collectable. I have a 1952-D Franklin half MS-65FBL in a PCGS slab labeled 1952 (they omitted the mint mark). But, don't count on making any extra money on the PCGS oversight.
