The story 'Coins from the WW-I Battlefields' is more vivid than ever, as 1915 proves that the war isn't going to be over soon, as both friend and foe anticipated.

Zinc coinage in occupied Belgium was first issued in 1915:

At the opposite side, the Germany is fighting a two front war against all allies, while the Austrians defend their central european empire against Italy and Russia.

I just realized, the 10 kopeks piece is going to be the coin for Round 2 of GTP-60.

Not exactly, it's not that particular one, I have two of those (no scratch between the eagle's heads, with black dot on rev. - that's the one I've had for years and thus have no idea what the price was). But yes, it's the same type/date.


By the way, I've never encountered any of those Mexican silver/gold pieces, other than their pictures in Krause. Now that's something, thanks for posting one!
