There are a couple of things going on with this coin. First, the dies are in a very late state. Someone can correct me on this but I'd say they're close to worn out. Second, not having a rim on that one side probably qualifies this as a broadstrike.

I don't know a lot about how this happens. I think the metal gets outside the collar during striking so a complete rim isn't forming. There are other members who know a lot more about this than I do so hold on and we'll get some more input.

When you say Ring are you referring to the rim? If so looks to be a well circulated dime that has a very slight "MAD" Misaligned die. Not enough to bring any value or premium.

If you're referring to the edge, it's just a clad layer. It looks like a normal worn dime to me.
