Not my coin. Photo was from an ebay listing. Before I buy any DMPL's, I hope to get the most info & opinions as possible. Apparently, some people are polishing the fields of Morgans to create the mirrored effect. How can we be sure ?
Rest in Peace

Coins like this (OP coin) only exist in fairy tales. Go look at DMPL Morgans on Heritage and Great collections if you want to get a feel for what they should look like.

If you buy the coin slabbed and graded it should declare the coin is DMPL. The coin the Village People tried to sell me was slabbed and had notation of DMPL on it. It looked DMPL, but so what? Am I going to pay a couple of hundred more for it?

There are sellers with a lot of these. I wouldn't want to buy an ordinary coin that has been polished for the prices they ask.

Post ones you like and might buy and we will vet them for you. Best to buy PCGS slabbed but in recent dmpl holders though as today's standards are strict. True dmpl's being sold raw usually have hairlines or some other feature that would give it a details grade which is why they are raw
