1918 Gold Sovereign Need Help With Identification

My parents apparently bought this coin 30years ago. It has a marking on one side Mom22 which I haven't found on other coins when googling. I also get conflicting info on minting some say India others Australia.

To the forum.

You have what appears to be a 1918 Melbourne Sovereign (Australia) "M" mintmark above the date on the reverse.
