I'm not sure if this is an error but it's definitely different than other 1949 wheats. What do y'all think about this one? Notice the notch above the W in the Motto along with the size of the rim.

How does it measure with a normal cent? It looks like the coin had the rims pressed outwards like a Encased Cent might look like?

Note the rims should not be that wide. Rim alteration might also explain the mark on the rim above the 'WE"?

My thought is also an Encased Coin.

It is the same size as a normal penny perhaps a little thicker. I hope this isn't a stupid question but what is an Encased Coin?
