...is this weekend!

Is anyone planning on going? I'll probably stop by on Saturday just to check it out. It will be my first show and I'm not sure what to expect. I've read many posts about awesome coin shows and great deals people have gotten. I can't wait!

That might be a good excuse to visit some wineries! I just might check that out on Saturday.
Btw--you can skip an ugly part of 101 by taking hwy 12 out of Sonoma--that's a nice drive.

Thanks for the driving tip Kurt. All the construction at the 101 merge when you get over the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge is a drag.

Patrick, I can imagine...that area of 101 has been a mess for years. It should be better over the weekend.
Note: you still need to drive past San Rafael and Novato to get over to Sonoma. It's a detour, but a scenic one

Kurt,
When I go wine tasting in Sonoma - which isn't often enough - I'll often take the 80 north to Vallejo and then pick up the 37 over to 116. This goes right into Santa Rosa and it avoids even getting near the 101. If you're coming from the east Bay it's a nice drive. There's lots of shorebirds on the 37 and the bakery off the square in Sonoma is great!

So, did you make it up there today? I took a jaunt up to SR, a nice day for a drive, and it turned out to be really worth my while.

Nice coin - you did have a good day!

I did make the trip and had a great time. I spoke with a couple guys in the Redwood Coin Club and they seemed really nice. I might drive up for one of their meetings but it's a bit of a haul from here so it will probably have to wait until summer when work is slower. I filled in several holes and even managed to complete my JFK, Ike and SBA sets. I also pushed my Lincoln set back to 1935. My favorite coin of the day was the 70d Kennedy that I got. I'll post a picture when I get the chance. I'm thinking about going up tomorrow too but that might be overkill. I've spent enough $$$ already.
