Hello,

Long shot really but picked up some mini Silver coins, 12 coins in all, 6 packets x 2.
They are still in the cardboard packaging they came in.
They are blue with Franklyn Mint 1980 written on them.

The coins themselves are mint condition, they seem to depict events in US history, 1 with a Steam Train, 1 with Soldiers and one of the Soldiers is planting a flag in the floor (is that War of Independence?)
One with 2 men by what looks like a sewing machine etc.
They have the years on the back relating to the event 1836 for example with a little floral, curly pattern.

So I have 12 in all, which means someone, somewhere is missing 12 .... maybe lol.

Im only posting this as maybe someone has an imcomplete set and is missing these 12 mini coins.

Ignore the pictures, its just a rough guide and if someone is missing these or needs them I can take much clearer pictures and details about what event they are showing/year.

All the best

The Franklin Mint is a private mint in Virginia that mostly makes novelty items. At best, they mint authorized mint sets and commemoratives for countries that can't make their own. At worst, they charge egregious prices for bullion rounds and put stickers on US mint products for silly markups. Opinion of them is generally low in numismatic communities because their advertising is borderline predatory, aimed at non-collectors and portraying a half dollar with a sticker of Donald Trump as a solid investment opportunity for $24.95.

I can't quite tell, but your set looks like maybe 12 1/10oz silver rounds? They probably aren't worth anything over melt, so (if they are indeed solid silver) worth about $16-20 for all of them.

Ty for the info Finn.

I picked them up in Belgium for around $4 for all of them and dont really know too much about the Franklyn Mint, they're about a 1 cm wide, maybe a little more, am guessing its US historical events but again, that's just a guess as there is no details as to what collection they belong.
They have been sitting in my drawer for about 2 years, you never know, maybe someone is missing these.
If not it will be as you say, melt price, or they will be left in the drawer until I die and some clearance company will find them and try selling them lol.

Have a good rest of the weekend and ty for the reponse

better images are needed to determine which set or sets yours are a part of.
