Can you post pics? It comes down to the actual notes condition that will help us give you a value

Here is a handy site that may give you an idea

http://www.uscurrencyauctions.com/prices.htm

According to this site it can range anywhere from 7 to 15 bucks.
This site is just helpful, but you can always do a search on ebay under the completed sales section to get a good idea as well

only thing I know is why it has a red seal, that is because they are United State Notes instead of Federal Reserve Notes anything else will have to be answered by someone else

1953 $2 note is about $6.50 in F

1963 $5 note is about $12.50 in F. Interesting this with this one is the serial number of 63,307,303. If serial number son these are a direct correlation to the amount produced, you have a pretty high number since 63,360,000 were produced. No clue if it makes it more enticing, but it is interesting to me regardless.

1953 $5 silver cert is ~$10 in F

1957 and 1957A $1 Silver certs are about $3 each in F condition

Wow....glad I found this site. I also have a 1963 $5.00 bill w/red serial # and stamp. Gonna give it a closer look and see if it say United States or Federal Reserve. I'll also post the serial #.

I also have 2 half dollar coins from 1863 that I came across in my Fathers desk after he passed away in 2006. Any value to them?

Wish I had a digital camera to post pictures.

Here is a 5.00 bill I found on ebay. Look at what the seller is asking? Is this the same type as the one we are all posting about?

No, that's a color error and a star note on a bill of the same year. Many errors on us bills are extremely valuable, like the color error. (Although I think that ebay user is asking too mach for a bill with a giant stain on it)

Sure, they have value- regardless of condition, they are worth at least silver melt value ~$7 each. Depending on condition, they can be worth much more but pics would be needed to determine that. I notice you say that you do not have a digital camera. Do you have a scanner? A scan will work just as well for circulated coins(digital photos are better for uncirculated coins). You can post them in the grading section of the forum if you are able to get images.

BTW,

Yes, I have a scanner but I am new to it and not familiar with how to use it...yet. I'll try over w/e to figure it out.

As for the coins, if memory serves, they are quite worn done on the face of 'em but i'd have to double check. They are not with me at this time but at my Mother's (i moved recently).
