Hello again everyone. I went to the coin shop today and decided to try to do some cherry picking out of the Morgan bins. I was looking specifically for die cracks which make it easier for me to attribute the
VAM.
I picked out this 1896 P
Morgan dollar and have attributed it to
VAM 6-A. Here are the notes for 6-A from
VAM world.
"1896-P VAM-6A Near Date, Doubled 6, Clashed Obverse n
Discovered by Jeff Oxman, June 2005.
6A III2 6 - C3a (Near Date, Doubled 6, Clashed Obverse n) (189) I-3 R-6
Obverse III2 6 - Clashed die with faint partial incuse n of In from reverse next to Liberty head neck.
Comments: 1- 6 doubled at top as a curved line. Date is further left than normal."
I'm pretty sure I've got this one attributed correctly, if anyone has any other suggestions please let me know.
Thanks for looking!
