Thanks. It shows what I wondered about. I was wondering if the devices were weaker in this location? The other images image seemed weaker on that area because they were out of focus.
1. If you tilt a coin, the devices on the lower part of the tilt can be out of focus. The ones at the higher point will be focused. So it is best to not take an image with too much of a steep angle. Your first image is an example of that. Did you know that focusing on the tops of devices will not give you a good image.
2. It is best to focus on the fields, then you will have a better image.
3. Too much light and not enough light create problems with images. To bright of a light will create glare. Too little light will give a darker image and alter the color of an image. and not show what you want to see.
4. using a diffuser will give you a better image. It will cut glare. If you light is two bright try using two layers of diffuser to cut the excess light source.
5. If you having an issue with unwanted light (secondary light source) you can block with a facial tissue taped between the direction of the unwanted light and the coin.
6. If your not happy with results you are getting with you setup, present the issue with the forum with images of the setup. Maybe someone can give another suggestion to fix the issue. Also when you do something wrong, but still get a great image, figure out how you can keep using that. So experimentation is sometimes the solution to a problem. Figure out what doesn't work and try something else.
7. Photo editing can solve some problems with an issue, but getting the better shot is what you want to seek. See if you can figure out what is wrong with the setup and fix it. Don't give up. I've asked for some better images of a coin and you see they start improving the image sooner. Maybe a new suggestion, but when you get that great image, remember what you did to get it. Forget stuff that doesn't work.
Just a few suggestions. Hope something will help with future images.
