I am brand new here and come to you looking for your guidence and experience! I want to start a very small collection of spanish colonial coins. I have been perusing and reading about how to spot counterfeits but ran into a question I havnt seen answered. I see many good details of 8 real edge designs, but do the smaller 2 and 1 reale coins also have an edge design? Is it the same but smaller? I have two nearby coin shops and neither of them had any coins below 8 reales and they only had 4 between them, including one cob that was in such bad shape that you could only make out the cross in the middle and they wanted over $2000!
