Hello,

I've loved the Athenian owl coins and wanted to own one for myself. How much would this one be worth? How would you grade it?

Thanka

Honestly I'm not even sure it's genuine. If it's silver the silver has crystallized and the condition is poor. If it was a few dollars I would have to think about it, otherwise I wouldn't spend any money on it.

I don't like the look of it.

You know you have to be super careful with regards to these, they are the most counterfeited coins out there. I would advice you do a search on Vcoins for "Attica Owl" and then order cheapest first and this will give you an idea of pricing in comparison to eye appeal.
Rest in Peace

Kinda flat out ugly. I'd look for something a bit nicer.

I suspect it's genuine, but a contemporary Eastern imitation of the owl type. Some of those Eastern imitatives got pretty weird looking. But, yeah, it's in rough shape...hold out for better if you can.
